The first “Backyard Ultra The Last Lap” took place in Jegenstorf in 2021 and was the second organized Backyard Ultra in Switzerland. The race features a marked lap with only 30 meters of elevation gain, 50% on paved and 50% on unpaved, low-traffic paths. Thanks to this flat and well-marked course, the race is particularly suitable for setting new records. At the same time, the family atmosphere offers a special appeal for all participants. The “Backyard Ultra The Last Lap” is one of three Silver Ticket races in Switzerland, meaning that the winner qualifies directly for the Backyard Satellite National Championships, provided they are Swiss or have permanent residence in Switzerland. With a current record of 51 laps, the race is enjoying growing popularity and is now in its fourth edition.
