The BC Backyard Ultra is an official Silver Ticket event, proudly hosted at Sicamous Public Beach Park in beautiful Sicamous, British Columbia. We are honored to support the Canadian Championship Series and Big Dog’s Backyard Ultra World Championship.
The trails that make up the BC Backyard Ultra route lie within the Traditional Territory of the Southern Secwepemc First Nation. It is a privilege to experience and celebrate the preservation and beauty of these lands.
2022: The winner of the BC Backyard Ultra will receive the silver coin & an invitation to participate in the 2022 Canadian Championship (the winner of the 2022 Canadian Championship will have opportunity to compete in the 2023 World Championship at Big Dog’s Backyard).
2023: The winner of the BC Backyard Ultra will receive cash prizing (35 laps or less [$700 winner/$300 assist], 35+ laps [$1000 winner/$500 assist]) and opportunity to compete in the 2023 World Championship, At-Large (an additional 25 runners will be selected off the ‘At-Large’ list to complete in the 2023 World Championship at Big Dog’s Backyard).
2024: The winner of the BC Backyard Ultra will receive the silver coin & an invitation to participate in the 2024 Canadian Championship (the winner of the 2024 Canadian Championship will have opportunity to compete in the 2025 World Championship at Big Dog’s Backyard).
2025: The winner of the BC Backyard Ultra will receive cash prizing (35 laps or less [$700 winner/$300 assist], 35+ laps [$1000 winner/$500 assist]) and opportunity to compete in the 2025 World Championship, At-Large (an additional 25 runners will be selected off the ‘At-Large’ list to complete in the 2025 World Championship at Big Dog’s Backyard).

BC Backyard Ultra proudly gives back to local community groups, volunteers, and stakeholders who help make the event what it is.
The course features a mix of pavement and non-technical trail, along with an exceptional staging area packed with community spirit, cheers, and high fives — everything you need to dig deep and keep moving.
