Supporting Donation Ripple Effects
The Wairarapa Backyard Ultra isn’t just about personal achievement – it’s about supporting our local community.
DRFX is : a Wairarapa based charity that supplies dry firewood to families in our community (https://www.drfx.xyz/drfxheatabout )
DRFX also : supports families in New Zealand who have a child with refractory epilepsy (see here for more details – https://www.drfx.xyz/drfxmktabout )
Raise Funds : To help raise funds and awareness DRFX decided to bring to life the inaugural Wairarapa Backyard Ultra.
Andy (our Founder and a DRFX Trustee) is an obsessive runner and loves the BYU format; he figured others will too and decided to combine running and raising.
While some of your entry fee goes to the charity, if you can get sponsored too, you will provide even more help.
Sponsorship may mean prizes. Raising $50 gets you entry into the prize draw.
